North Charleston officials reached a unanimous decision to support Medical University of South Carolina's pediatric ambulatory campus in Charleston, according to The Post and Courier.
Here are four key points:
1. On behalf of MUSC, the South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority issued $46 million in economic development bonds for the project. The city did support the plans in a unanimous resolution Sept. 14.
2. MUSC broke ground on the nearly $50 million ambulatory campus June 30.
3. The 100,000-square-foot facility will include a pediatric surgery center. It will also include a pediatric multispecialty medical office building, equipped with imaging facility, infusion rooms and an urgent care clinic.
4. MUSC expects to complete construction early 2019.
