7 accredited ASCs to know | February 2019

Here are seven accredited ASCs featured on Becker's ASC Review in February:

1. Dyersburg, Tenn.-based Cape Regional Eye Center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Cape Regional Eye Center Founder Richard Cape, MD, has been in practice since 1993.

2. Albany (N.Y.) Regional Eye Center is AAAHC-accredited and opened in 2001. Physicians at the center perform ophthalmic procedures such as cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment and eyelid surgery.

3. Troy, Mich.-based Truvista Surgery Center, accredited by the AAAHC, was established in 2007. The leadership team includes Medical Director Ken Lock, DO, PhD, and Executive Director Andrew Gwinnell.

4. Summit Woods, Ohio-based Beacon Orthopaedic Surgery Center, accredited by the AAAHC, has viewing rooms where patients' families can watch procedures being performed.

5. Seneca, S.C.-based Blue Ridge Surgery Center is accredited by the AAAHC. The Blue Ridge Surgery Center's medical director is P. Sean McCallum, MD, an orthopedic and sports medicine physician.

6. Springfield, Ore.-based Cascade Endoscopy Center is accredited by the AAAHC. The center opened in February 2004 and has three physicians on staff.

7. Laguna Hills, Calif.-based Alicia Surgery Center is accredited by the AAAHC. The center's board has four directors: Om Chaurasia, MD, John A. Hovanesian, MD, Diana H. Kersten, MD, Edward W. Kim, MD, and Roger V. Ohanesian, MD.
