CMS renewed the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care's deeming authority for ASCs.

Here's what you should know:

1. AAAHC received the maximum six-year renewal.

2. The renewal acknowledges that AAAHC's accreditation program satisfies the Medicare Conditions for Coverage at ASCs.

3. AAAHC has held deemed status for ASCs since 1996.
