South Miami-based Baptist Health South Florida signed an agreement with Aetna to cover its commercial health plan members.
Aetna commercial plan members will now have access to Baptist Health's Palm Beach County, Fla., facilities.
In addition to Baptist Health's hospitals, members will have access to Baptist Health Surgery Center at Northpoint (Fla.), Baptist Health Surgery Center at South Palm (Fla.) and Baptist Health Endoscopy Center at Flagler (Fla.).
"The expansion of our existing relationship with Aetna into Palm Beach represents both parties' commitment to serving our communities. We are pleased to continue expanding our longstanding partnership with Aetna and to offer their members our services in a new county," said Baptist Health Chief Managed Care Officer and Corporate Vice President Eric Shatanof.
