Recruiting, retaining RCM talent in healthcare — 4 key insights

Most current employees in healthcare revenue cycle management — 87 percent — said they're open to new opportunities, according to a 2019 survey by LaSalle Network, a national staffing, recruiting and culture firm.

LaSalle Network surveyed more than 6,000 healthcare RCM professionals.

Four takeaways:

1. Healthcare RCM employees seek new opportunities for three reasons: better benefits, growth opportunities and higher compensation.

2. In the past year, 62 percent of currently employed healthcare RCM professionals received one to three job offers.

3. Paid time off and a 401(k) match were the top two draws for healthcare RCM professionals. For 51 percent of respondents, flexible hours were a top benefit.

4. Just 47 percent of current healthcare RCM employees were satisfied with their training and development opportunities.
