Physician-owned Eye Surgery and Laser Clinic, Inc. is seeking a full-time ASC Nurse Manager for an immediate start. The ideal candidate will be an RN with ophthalmic experience and should possess excellent interpersonal, communications and computer skills.
Prior experience in an operating room setting is required, along with proven record of effective staff supervision. Responsibilities include: managing clinical activities and resources of the OR, pre and post-operative care, sterile processing and overall patient care activities. This position also has primary responsibilities for staffing, budgeting and day-to-day operations of the facility. This includes:
Staff recruiting, training and development
Infection control
Medication management and administration
Financial benchmarking
Physician case schedules
Surgical supplies, equipment and instruments –all inventory
Facility licensing and accreditation requirements
Focus on quality of care and patient satisfaction
The candidate must provide and facilitate clear lines of communications between surgeons, staff and patients, will act as a circulator at times, and be cross trained to cover any position in the surgery center. Reports to Clinic Administrator. EOE.
