Nurse pay vs. physician pay for each state

Nurses earn less than a quarter of what physicians earn in seven U.S. states, according to data from ZipRecruiter.

New Mexico and Wisconsin are tied for the lowest average nurse-to-physician salary ratio with 24.3 percent, while Kentucky holds the highest. On average, nurses there earn 32.2 percent of physician salary.
