The ASC Quality Collaboration released its report on ASC quality for the first quarter of 2018.
The report's data was collected from 1,585 ASCs (996 multispecialty and 589 single specialty) in every state except Vermont. Organizations such as the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America, Regent Surgical Health and Surgical Care Affiliates agreed to collect and submit the data.
The rate of incidents are calculated per 1,000 ASC admissions, which decreased in three of the six incidents reported below.
