Surgical cameras market to double: Report

Sales of wireless surgical cameras are expected to grow 7.4 percent over the next 10 years, with the market value reaching $153.3 million globally by 2032, according to an analysis from Future Market Insights, a market intelligence company.

In 2021, the global market value sat at around $69.9 million, according to a July 13 press release.

German-speaking countries are expected to account for the largest share of the market over the next 10 years.

The growth is driven by an increased demand for non-invasive procedures and demand for endoscopies and an increase in the number of endoscopy and laparoscopy facilities.

Non-invasive cameras offer less room for error and fewer complications, making procedures using them attractive to patients, the report said.

Medical cameras are still expensive, which is the biggest barrier to entry for many physicians and medical practices worldwide, according to the press release.
