ACMC-Marshall (Minn.) Surgery Center. Affiliated Community Medical Centers is building the 10,000-square-foot ACMC-Marshall Surgery Center, which is slated for completion in fall 2014. It will include two operating suites, two endoscopic suites, private pre- and postoperative recovery areas, waiting rooms and consultation areas. It will provide care in a wide array of specialties, including genernal surgery, GI endoscopy, ENT, pain medicine, orthopedics and ophthalmology.

Advanced Endoscopy Center (Bronx, N.Y.). Advanced Endoscopy Center, affiliated with Physicians endoscopy, is a 10,950-square-foot state-of-the-art facility. It was established in 2007 and specializes in the provision of GI services. The facility is state licensed, Medicare-certified, accredited by AAAHC and has achieved the designation as a "Center of Excellence" by the ASGE.  The four room center, a hospital joint venture with Montefiore Medical Center, began performing procedures in the spring of 2007 with nine physician-owners. In 2013, the center performed over 13,360 cases and added three new physician partners. It continues to experience a steady stream of growth, while providing quality care and services to the community.

Aiden Center for Day Surgery (Addison, Ill.)
. This 14,000-square-foot multispecialty ASC is accredited by the Joint Commission and managed by Oak Brook Medical Management. It features four operating rooms and two dedicated GI endoscopy rooms, with more than 60 physicians in gastroenterology, gynecology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry and other specialties.

Ashton Center for Day Surgery (Hoffman Estates, Ill.). This 15,000-square-foot multispecialty ASC is accredited by the Joint Commission and managed by Oak Brook Medical Management. It features four operating rooms, with more than 40 physicians in gastroenterology, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry and more.

Buffalo Surgery Center (Amherst, N.Y.). The surgery center is planning a $1.2 million expansion project that will include a 24,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center. The surgery center will feature four operating rooms and a three-room gastroenterology surgery suite. Ten surgeons affiliated with Buffalo Medical Group will perform procedures in the GI suite.

The Buffalo Surgery Center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and performs approximately 12,000 cases per year. It currently includes three operating rooms. It is a part of Excelsior Orthopaedics, which includes 18 physicians providing orthopedic and sports medicine care.

Carnegie Hill Endoscopy Center (New York). Carnegie Hill Endoscopy Center, affiliated with Physicians Endoscopy, is a 10,437-square-foot state-of-the-art established in 2011. It specializes in the provision of GI Services. The facility is state licensed, Medicare-certified, accredited by the JCAHO and has achieved the designation as a "Center of Excellence" by the ASGE. The five-room center, a hospital joint venture with Mt Sinai/Beth Israel Hospital System, began performing procedures in the spring of 2012 with 15 physician owners.  In 2013, the center performed over 13,600 cases, added six new physician partners. The center continues to experience a steady stream of growth, while providing quality care and services to the community. The center has been a leader in the establishment of a NYC DOH initiative to provide colorectal screening to the uninsured and underserved in NYC.

Carolina Center for Specialty Surgery (Charlotte, N.C.). The 13,093-square-foot surgery center includes a preoperative patient care center and a post-anesthesia care unit. It offers numerous spine and orthopedic surgery options, including spinal injections, lumbar arthodesis, thoracic decompression and discectomy, hip injections, kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, shoulder arthroscopy, knee ligament repair and arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.

Eastwind Surgical Center (Westerville, Ohio). The surgery center is 11,000 square feet and includes two operating rooms and two procedure rooms. It is located on the campus of the Central Ohio Neurological Surgeons' practice in Westerville. The practice includes seven physicians who offer a wide array of neurosurgical procedures. The surgery center includes a dedicated pain management physician on staff.

Endoscopy Center of Pensacola (Fla.). The surgery center is larger than 10,000 square feet and is the area's only American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy-certified Quality Endoscopy Unit. Gastroenterologists from the Gastroenterology Associates of Pensacola perform a wide array of procedures at the center. The physicians focus on diseases of the digestive system — such as hepatitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease — and colon or rectal cancer. Alice Cartee, LHCRM, is the CEO of Gastroenterology Associates of Pensacola.

Hinsdale (Ill.) Surgical Center. The surgery center is approximately 16,000 square feet and includes four operating rooms and two procedure rooms. The multispecialty center is joint venture between physicians, Hinsdale (Ill.) Adventist Hospital and United Surgical Partners International. It is accredited by The Joint Commission and is fully licensed by the state of Illinois. It offers services in a number of specialties, such as gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry and urology.
 
Jane Phillips Outpatient Surgery Center (Bartlesville, Okla.). The surgery center was opened in May 2013 by Jane Phillips Medical Center. The 11,000-square-foot center was previously known as Bartlesville Surgery Center and was owned by a group of local physicians. The hospital provides outpatient procedures in a wide array of specialties at the center, including ENT, endoscopy, gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, podiatry and pediatric dental surgery.

Michigan Endoscopy Center (Farmington Hills). The center encompasses 13,000 square feet and it offers an array of endoscopic services, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. It includes a medical team of 14 physicians. Brian Fausone, MA, MBA, serves as administrator of the surgery center.

Minnesota Valley Surgery Center (Burnsville). The 14,000-square-foot facility is affiliated with Nueterra and fully accredited by Medicare. It features three operating rooms, a 14-bed post-anesthesia care unit and one procedure room. It offers surgical services in numerous specialties, such as general surgery, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry and ophthalmology.

Nacogdoches (Texas) Surgery Center. The surgery center is 12,000 square feet and includes four operating rooms. Its medical staff is comprised of eight physicians offering care in general surgery, orthopedic surgery, oral and facial surgery, pain management, plastic surgery and podiatry. It also includes a nursing staff comprising nine members.

Nebraska Surgery Center (Lincoln). The 10,000-square-foot surgery center was established in 1999, as a result of a partnership between local physicians and Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center. The center features four fully equipped operating suites and 11 recovery rooms. It's patient satisfaction scores have remained high since 1999, and it offers services in a number of specialties, including orthopedics, general and colorectal surgery, plastic surgery, pediatric dental surgery, neurosurgery and ENT.

Northwest Tucson (Ariz.) Surgery Center. The surgery center is 19,000-square-feet and it features five operating rooms, two procedure rooms and two endoscopy rooms. It was opened in 2008 and is a part of the Tucson Orthopaedic Institute. The board-certified physicians offer care for conditions of the elbow, hand, shoulder, foot and ankle, spine and hip and knee. The institute's physicians also offer sports medicine procedures.

OA Orthopedic Surgery Center (Portland, Maine). The surgery center is 10,000 square feet and includes two operating rooms, on-site x-ray suite and procedure rooms. The center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. It is a part of OA Centers for Orthpaedics,which includes orthpedic surgeons providing numerous services, including knee surgery, spine surgery, hand surgery, elbow surgery and ankle surgery.

Oak Brook (Ill.) Surgical Centre. This 15,000-square-foot multispecialty ASC is accredited by the Joint Commission and managed by Oak Brook Medical Management. It includes five operating rooms, with more than 100 physicians in gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, urology and other specialties. OBSC was the first independent multispecialty ASC in DuPage County, the first in the Illinois to do outpatient LAVH and helped produce the largest academically published series of laparoscopic incidental appendectomy, laparoscopic tubal reanostomosis."OBSC is also proud of its SSI rate of 0.5 per thousand — practically a tenth the national average for ASCs ," says Alfonso del Granado, associate administrator for compliance affairs at Oak Brook Medical Management.

Orthopedic Surgery Center of Orange County (Newport Beach, Calif.). The surgery center was established in 1999 as a result of a partnership between Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach and a group of surgeons who practised at Hoag. The freestanding, 14,000-square-foot center includes four operating rooms. Services offered at the center include pain management, foot and ankle, hand and upper extremity and sports medicine procedures. The center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.  

South Shore Surgery Center (Bay Shore, N.Y.). The 11,000-square-foot surgery center is affiliated with the Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America. It features three operating rooms, two procedure rooms, preoperative and recovery areas and a sterilizing room. Physicians at the center provide surgical services in ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, podiatry as well as pain management services.  

St. George (Utah) Surgical Center. The surgery center spans 11,000 square feet and is physician-owned. The multispecialty facility is accredited by CMS and the Accreditation for Ambulatory Health Care. The center is transparent regarding its prices and offers services in wide array of specialties, including ophthalmology, gynecology, plastic surgery, general surgery and foot surgery.

Surgery Center of Mount Dora (Fla.). The 12,000-square-foor facility is a joint venture between Regent Surgical Health, nine local physicians and Leesburg Regional Medical Center. It includes three operating rooms and one procedure room. The center includes physicians focuing on orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, general surgery, urology, podiatry and gastroenterology.  

Surgery Center at NorthBay VacaValley (Vacaville, Calif.). The 16,000-square-foot surgery center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and managed by ASD Management. It is a joint venture between NorthBay Healthcare and local surgeons, and it was opened in 2007. It currently performs 4,300 cases per year and includes three operating rooms and two procedure rooms. It offers surgical services in numerous specialties, including gastroenterology, pain management, urology, podiatry and orthopedics. Karen Faria is the business director of the center.

Triangle Orthopaedics Surgery Center (Raleigh, N.C.). The surgery center was opened in 2013 and encompasses 10,000 square feet. It features four preoperative bays, two operating rooms and seven recovery units. It also includes 15 board-certified surgeons providing treatments for a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions.  

The center was opened by Triangle Orthopedic Associates, which includes more than 45 physicians and several facilities in Pennsylvania.

Wabash Valley Surgery Center (Terre Haute, Ind.). The 28,000-square-foot surgery center includes eight operating rooms and four procedure rooms. Its physicians perform an estimated 11,000 surgical cases and procedures annually. The center is a part of UAP Clinic in Terre Haute, which includes 72 physicians and offers services in 21 medical specialties, including ENT, neurology and orthopedics.
