4 ASCs investing in GI technology

Here are four ASCs that have invested in or plan to invest in new technology for gastroenterology services.

Mercer County Surgery Center (Lawrenceville, N.J.). The ASC recently invested in the Olympus HD 190 series colonoscopes. The freestanding facility was opened in 2000. It features two operating rooms and one endoscopy suite. Its 20 physicians offer surgical services in gastroenterology, colon and rectal surgery, orthopedics, podiatry and pain management. The surgery center is the first ASC in Mercer County to offer outpatient total joint replacements.
 
PHC-Endoscopy Center (Statesville, N.C.). The surgery center recently invested in new GI technology. The GI-focused ASC offers a wide array of procedures including colon cancer screening, capsule endoscopy, esophageal dilation and flexible sigmoidoscopy, among others. The center's physicians use the ENDORA Endoscope Tracking System for disinfection practices in endoscopy as well as the MEDIVATORS Advantage Plus, a fully automated computer-based asynchronous endoscope reprocessor. The center includes four physicians.

Digestive Health Endoscopy ASC (Ocean Springs, Miss.). The ASC invested in technology for gastroenterology services. The ASC is a part of Digestive Health Center, which includes six physicians and three physician assistants. The physicians offer the full spectrum of GI care, from colonoscopies to cancer screenings.

Toledo (Ohio) Clinic Outpatient Surgery Center. The surgery center will be investing in new GI technology in next one to two years. The ASC includes surgical suites and recovery rooms as well as a newly remodeled waiting room. The center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
