  • Santa Clara planning commission approves new ASC

    The Santa Clara (Calif.) planning commission has approved a use permit for the addition of an ASC in an existing building in the area, according to an Oct. 16 report from the Silicon Valley Voice. 
  • Advocate Health building ASC at Chicago mall

    Advocate Health Care is constructing a 60,000-square-foot medical center inside of a shopping mall in Chicago that will include office space, immediate care and an ASC, according to an Oct. 16 report from Block Club Chicago. 
  • Hoag leases California ASC space

    Irvine, Calif.-based Hoag Orthopedic Institute has leased a 12,000-square-foot surgery center space in Aliso Viejo, Calif.
  • Intermountain digs deeper into ASC industry

    In April, Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health signed a collaboration agreement with Surgery Partners for the management of the system's existing surgery centers in Utah and Idaho and the development of ASCs in other markets.
  • Intermountain, Ortho Montana break ground on new ASC

    On Oct. 9, Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health and Billings-based Ortho Montana broke ground on the Gallatin Valley Surgery Center in Bozeman, Mont., the Bozeman Daily Chronicle reported Oct. 10. 
  • AdventHealth breaks ground on 60K-square-foot medical office building

    AdventHealth Hendersonville (N.C.) has broken ground on a 60,000-square-foot medical office building.
  • 4-story New York office converting to medical office building

    A four-story, 133,768-square-foot office building in Yonkers, N.Y., has been acquired by Simone Development Cos., who plans to repurpose the building into a medical office building, according to an Oct. 10 report from Commercial Property Executive.

  • Torrance Memorial Medical Center to add ASC under new leadership

    Torrance (Calif.) Memorial Medical Center's longtime CEO, Craig Leach, is retiring after 39 years with the system. On Nov. 1, Keith Hobbs, who joined the hospital's administration in February, will take over the role as CEO, according to an Oct. 9 report from the Los Angeles Business Journal. 
  • Cleveland Clinic opens 93K-square-foot medical office building

    Cleveland Clinic has opened a new 93,000-square-foot medical outpatient facility in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, in a former retail space that has been vacant since 2019. 
  • 45K-square-foot medical office building opens in Georgia

    Atlanta-based Northside Hospital has opened a 45,000-square-foot medical office building in Snellville, Ga., according to an Oct. 4 report from Commercial Property Executive. 
  • HCA surgery center breaks ground in Missouri

    Hammes broke ground on an new ASC in Lee's Summit, Mo., according to an Oct. 5 news release.

  • Washington health system plans its own ASC as former tenant relocates

    Pacific Rim Outpatient Surgery Center in Bellingham, Wash., closed its doors Aug. 31 as Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth, the facility's landlord, opted not to renew its lease, Cascadia Daily News reported Sept. 28. 
  • South Carolina hospital expanding surgery center

    Beaufort (S.C.) Memorial Hospital is expanding its surgical center, according to a Sept. 26 report from local NBC affiliate WSAV. 
  • Mary Lanning Healthcare cuts ribbon on medical office building

    Mary Lanning Healthcare cut the ribbon on a new medical office building in Hastings, Neb., that will host nine specialties, including pulmonology, orthopedics and family medicine, according to a Sept. 26 report from NBC affiliate KSNB.
