Greg Daniel, MD, a physician-turned-developer, earned approval for a three-story medical office building in Buffalo, N.Y., two years ago. Now, he plans to expand the project by 33 percent, according to a Sept. 26 report from The Buffalo News. 

Salt Lake City-based Intermountain is poised to open an orthopedic-focused ASC in Park City, Utah.

Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine has secured a tower crane construction permit for its proposed five-story medical office building, the Bronzeville Advanced Outpatient Care Center on the South Side of the city, according to a Sept. 25 report from Urbanize.

HealthPartners broke ground on a $50.5 million specialty surgery center in Woodbury, Minn. 

Asheville, N.C.-based GenesisCare Surgical Specialists will close after its private equity-backed management company GenesisCare filed for bankruptcy, Citizen Times reported Sept. 21.

North Carolina state regulators have set a public hearing date for Oct. 16 to discuss Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist's request to move forward with the construction of an ASC, according to a Sept. 12 report from the Winston-Salem Journal.

Indianapolis-based Community Health Network is expanding Community Surgery Center South for the first time since 2006.

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic plans to renovate and expand its Houston-based Cypress Clinic, adding a second 120,000-square-foot professional building with space for an ASC, according to a Sept. 12 report from ConnectCRE.
