Missouri medical center breaks ground on emergency expansion project

Pilot Knob, Mo.-based Iron County Medical Center broke ground on an emergency expansion to its Rural Health Clinic, the Daily Journal reports. 

The emergency project will allow the center to comply with CDC guidelines for social distancing and is funded by the Provider Relief Fund from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act. 

The project added 7,050 square feet to the existing clinic, which provides services including gastroenterology, general surgery, ENT, rheumatology and urology.
