New surgery center underway in booming Arizona city

An outpatient surgery center is being built in Buckeye, Ariz., according to Suzanne Boyles, the city's economic development manager.

The surgery center will occupy 11,000 square feet in the Watson Road Commercial District. It is one of three new healthcare facilities underway, and more are being planned.

Buckeye is the fastest-growing city in the country, according to May data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Its current population is estimated to be about 82,600.
