MagnaCare and Mount Sinai Health, both in New York, partnered to develop a Center of Excellence program for total joint replacement surgery, according to a Dec. 15 news release.

Eligible MagnaCare members will be guided to preferred Mount Sinai facilities for total joint procedures, all under a single bundled payment, the release said. Patients will also be connected to a Mount Sinai care guide who will provide personal support.

"Our customers rely on MagnaCare to develop innovative solutions that deliver better service, improved health outcomes, and enhanced value for their members," Michelle Zettergren, president of labor at MagnaCare, said in the release. "By partnering with Mount Sinai to develop a Center of Excellence for total joint replacement surgery, we can promote positive patient outcomes while removing much of the burden and financial uncertainty that so often come with complex care. Members will have peace of mind knowing that they're in good hands and won't have to deal with unpredictable or out-of-network costs."
