Syracuse (N.Y.) Orthopedic Specialists will resume elective surgeries at Specialists' One-Day Surgery Center, after having to delay the procedures in March, reports.

The practice opened a COVID-19 drive-thru testing site for patients to get tested before their procedure. Every patient will be tested three days before their procedure, and the surgery will only proceed after a negative test result.

The practice implemented a series of social distancing practices for patients to follow inside the surgery center as well.
