Mary Dale Peterson, MD, was installed as president of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Three highlights:
1. Dr. Peterson began her one-year term Oct. 23 at the Anesthesiology 2019 annual meeting in Orlando.
2. Dr. Peterson is executive vice president and COO of Driscoll Health System, as well as emeritus staff at Driscoll Children's Hospital, both in Corpus Christi, Texas.
3. A member of the ASA board of directors since 2006, Dr. Peterson has served as the organization's treasurer and chair of the ASA Section on Fiscal Affairs. She also sits on the ASA Charitable Foundation's board of directors.
