Two physicians from the department of anesthesiology and perioperative care at the University of California at Irvine have received Foundation of Anesthesia, Education and Research grants. Both anesthesiologists will receive a two-year grant supported by the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Davinder Ramsingh, MD, will apply the grant towards his project: "Application of a Comprehensive Perioperative Ultrasound Curriculum for Anesthesiologists: Bringing the Perioperative Physician out of the Guessing Game." Darren Raphael, MD, will use the grant to further his research: "Simulation Based Interviews for Selection of Anesthesiology Residency Candidates."
The last FAER grant recipient in the UCI department of anesthesiology and perioperative care was Mike Alkire, MD, in 1998.
