The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities appointed Monda Shaver, RN, BSN, as its chief regulatory affairs officer.
Most recently, Ms. Shaver was the CMS technical director of accreditation services and director of accreditation operations for the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program.
At CMS, Ms. Shaver led oversight and enforcement of national accreditation programs.

Her experience and expertise in healthcare policy and regulations will undoubtedly elevate AAAASF’s grasp on federal, regional and state issues,” said Thomas Terranova, JD, the association's executive director. “She's incredibly knowledgeable about the unique challenges facing accreditation organizations and the ever-changing healthcare regulatory landscape.”
Ms. Shaver earned her nursing degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
