BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina designated The Surgery Center at Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery in Columbia a Blue Distinction Center+ for spine surgery, according to an Oct. 29 report from the Columbia Star.
The surgery center is the first ASC in South Carolina to earn the distinction, the report said. Blue Distinction Center+ facilities are designated for patient safety and health outcomes.
