Physicians and Consumers Have Unfavorable Opinions of Health Insurers, Study Says

Physicians and consumers have strong unfavorable feelings about health insurance companies, according to a report titled "State of Healthcare in the U.S. 2012," released by AdSAM.

The survey found that 78 percent of physicians and 61 percent of consumers have strong unfavorable feelings about health insurance companies. Both segments' unfavorable feelings tended to be "sullen," reflecting a sense of resignation, or "alarmed," reflecting aggravation, fear and stress.
