Charles Peck, MD, FACP, is the president and CEO of Health Inventures, which has brokered and managed physician and hospital joint ventures in ASCs and surgical hospitals for more than 15 years. Dr. Peck has a proven track record of leading Health Inventures and overseeing the company's growth in outpatient surgery partnerships as well as physician practice management and inpatient perioperative management with hospitals and physicians. He has also demonstrated a remarkable ability in leadership training, quality and utilization management, risk management and healthcare strategy and policy.
Before joining Health Inventures in 2011, Dr. Peck held a number of other healthcare executive roles, including CEO of a 150-physician multi-specialty practice affiliated with the University Hospitals of Cleveland; partner at healthcare consulting firms Arthur Anderson and FTI; president of two regions under Aetna; and CMO of Take Care Health, a retail health clinic operator, and LifeMasters, a national disease management company. He also served as a clinical professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
In addition to his business acumen, Dr. Peck has extensive expertise and knowledge as a board-certified internist and rheumatologist. He completed his undergraduate and medical education at Emory University and New York University School of Medicine, respectively. He is also an accomplished scientist, having authored numerous articles on the topic of science and health policy, and a fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Physician Executives.
Health Inventures recently announced the opening of a new joint-venture ambulatory surgery center in Norwalk, Conn., in partnership with Norwalk Hospital and 15 local physicians.
