Strong leadership helps ASC staff be more producing so they can deliver exceptional outcomes, according to Ann Geier, RN, chief nursing officer for Alpharetta, Ga.-based Surgical Information Systems.
Ms. Geier shared the following ASC management tips on SIS' blog:
1. ASC-focused technology can help streamline operations and support staff in decision-making.
2. A "physician champion" or a physician the ASC relies on to make key decisions, can provide insight on issues facing the ASC, and can lead quality-improvement efforts.
