Gregory Sorensen, MD, has been appointed CEO of the U.S. branch of Siemens Healthcare, effective June 1, according to a company release.
Dr. Sorensen, who succeeds interim CEO Randy Hill, will also oversee the Canadian activities of Siemens Healthcare.
The new CEO is a practicing neuroradiologist and active researcher with significant experience in clinical care, clinical trials and translational research.
Dr. Sorensen will be responsible for the group's healthcare portfolio, which includes medical imaging, therapy, healthcare information technology and laboratory diagnostics.
