VBOX has announced it has received FDA approval for its new portable oxygen concentrator, according to a news release.
The Trooper, which will be available in second quarter of 2013, is a wearable portable oxygen concentrator for prescription oxygen therapy.
"The Trooper is a major technological breakthrough for medical oxygen therapy and we are thrilled to bring this device to our patients," said William Still, VBOX CEO, in the release. "For many medical conditions that require oxygen therapy, exercise and movement is key to maintaining lung function, so a truly wearable oxygen therapy solution will make a significant difference in the quality of life for these individuals."
The Trooper is used with a nasal cannula to channel oxygen from the concentrator to the patient. When available, the Trooper may be used in home, institution, vehicle and various mobile environments, according to the company.
VBOX is headquartered in White Bear Lake, Minn.
