Orthopedists and ophthalmologists were among specialties with the highest satisfaction in the field with more than 90 percent of physicians saying they'd choose the same field again, according to the 2021 Medscape Physician Compensation Report.
The report surveyed 17,903 physicians in more than 29 specialties from Oct. 6, 2020, to Feb. 11.
Here are five specialties with the most physicians saying they'd choose the same specialty:
1. Dermatology: 96 percent
2. Orthopedics and orthopedic surgery: 96 percent
3. Oncology: 96 percent
4. Ophthalmology: 94 percent
5. Otolaryngology: 93 percent
