The Rhode Island Quality Institute recognized Providence, R.I.-based University Gastroenterology as a top performing practice in CMS' Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative.

1. University Gastroenterology is one of the top 12 highest performing practices in the program.

2. CMS established TCPI in 2015. The program supports physician practices in their efforts to develop strategies to improve patient outcomes while cutting costs.
