Ophthalmologists in Tulsa, Okla. developed a series of over-the-counter products to fight the spread of COVID-19, according to a Dec. 18 report from Fox 23.
Jessie Pelletier, MD, created Halodine nasal swabs, oral rine, oral spray and nasal liquid with his colleagues, the report said. It's made with the same solution that Dr. Pelletier uses to fight infection during patient's eye procedures.
The FDA designated the OTC offering as safe and effective, the report said.
