Castle Connolly named three Bradenton, Fla.-based Coastal Orthopedics physicians to its 2018 Top Doctors list.
Here are four notes:
1. Castle Connolly selected pain management specialist Douglas Constant, MD, pain management specialist Gennady Gekht, MD, and orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist Steven J. Schafer, MD, for inclusion.
2. This is the third year Castle Connolly recognized Dr. Constant, the fourth year for Dr. Gekht and the sixth year for Dr. Schafer.
3. Castle Connolly Top Doctors are nominated by their peers in an extensive survey process. The organization receives nearly 100,000 nominations annually.
4. Castle Connolly's physician-led research team selects winners based on their educational backgrounds, training, hospital appointments, disciplinary histories and other qualifications.
