Covington, La.-based Avala opened an orthopedic surgical hospital Oct. 18, 4WWL reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. The facility offers robotic-assisted spine and orthopedic surgeries as well as minimally invasive procedures. It is the only facility in the Covington area to offer robotic procedures.
2. Avala purchased, renovated and remodeled the former Fairway Medical Center.
3. In addition to the hospital, Avala unveiled a new imaging center.
