After its surgeons performed 127 same-day joint replacement procedures in 2018, Scottsdale, Ariz.-based North Valley Surgery Center has introduced the NAVIO orthopedic surgical system.
What you should know:
1. After investing in the new equipment, North Valley Surgery Center expects its surgeons will complete an estimated 250 joint replacement procedures in 2019.
2. The NAVIO system is designed to help surgeons perform partial and total knee replacement surgeries with precision and accuracy.
3. The system doesn't require a preoperative CT scan and uses an intraoperative platform to build patient-specific surgical plans.
4. With approximately 70 physicians and more than 100 anesthesiologists, North Valley Surgery Center provides nearly 12,000 procedures annually.
5. North Valley Surgery Center has seven operating rooms, four gastroenterology procedure rooms and a pain management procedure room.
