25 new GI practices in 2024

Here are 25 gastroenterology practices announced, planned or opened in 2024: 

1. Adventist Health Lodi (Calif.) Memorial Hospital Foundation purchased the Lodi Outpatient Surgery Center and added it to its network after leasing it to local physicians for several years. The expansion will include a new gastrointestinal services line. 

2. Amherst, N.Y., will be the site of the state's largest ASC, upon completion of the $30 million Northtowns Ambulatory Surgery Center, a "smart" ASC that will include gastroenterology services. 

3. HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital is seeking approval for a $50 million expansion at its O'Fallon, Ill.-based medical campus, which will include an ASC with gastroenterology services. 

4. Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network opened its seventh medical office building, housing St. Luke's Rheumatology Associates, St. Luke's Colon & Rectal Surgery, St. Luke's Gastroenterology and St. Luke's Bethlehem Internal Medicine. 

5. ASC management services provider AmSurg partnered with Owings Mills, Md.-based LifeBridge Health and Pikesville, Md.-based Woodholme Group to open a gastroenterology ASC. 

6. Miami-based Gastro Health opened a new facility in Cincinnati. 

7. Gastroenterology of the Rockies opened a new GI and endoscopy center in Denver. 

8. Weirton (W.Va) Medical Center opened a new 6,000-square-foot gastroenterology practice. 

9. Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health finished construction on a five-story medical office building dedicated to digestive health. 

10. Manitowoc, Wis.-based Renovo Health opened an endoscopy and surgery center. 

11. Lawrenceville, Ga.-based Northside Hospital Gwinnett opened its Advanced Center for Interventional Pulmonary and Gastrointestinal Services. 

12. A new medical office building leased to Allina and MNGI Digestive Health opened in Lakeville, Minn. 

13. New York City-based Gastroenterology Associates of Brooklyn opened a new office in the Bay Ridge neighborhood, offering specialized care for women. 

14. Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera Health opened a new medical office building focused on digestive care at its Louise Health Campus. 

15. Gastroenterology Associates of Brooklyn (New York City) opened a new facility. 

16. Utah Gastroenterology relocated its practice in Draper, Utah, to a new, larger endoscopy center.

17. Denver Digestive Health Specialists, in partnership with GI Alliance, opened a new clinic in Arvana, Colo. 

18. GI Alliance of Illinois, an Arlington-based affiliate, moved to a new facility with seven additional clinic rooms. 

19. A gastroenterology, colo-rectal and pain management-focused ASC opened in Metairie, La. 

20. Urbana, Ill.-based Carle Health opened two digestive health facilities in Peoria, Ill. 

21. Phoenix-based Arizona Digestive Health opened a new gastroenterology and endoscopy clinic in Tucson, Ariz. 

22.  U.S. Digestive Health opened a new facility in Colmar, Pa. 

23. GI Alliance began development on an ASC in Kansas City, Mo., in partnership with real estate company MedCore Partners and Cig Partners Two. 

24. Gastro Health finalized a deal with Gastroenterology and Nutrition Specialists in Orlando, Fla. 

25. GI Alliance partnered with three practices in Rhode Island, increasing its presence in the Northeast.
