Kansas medical center files zoning request to bar local hospital from building ASC
Emporia, Kan.-based Newman Regional Health has filed a request to change the zoning code with the area planning commission in an effort to prevent Topeka, Kan.-based Stormont-Vail Hospital from building an ASC, according to an Oct. 31 report from KVOE. -

Madison-based Orthopedic and Spine Centers of Wisconsin plans to open a surgery center by November 2024, The Wisconsin State Journal reported Oct. 30. -

Durango, Colo.-based Mercy Hospital has broken ground on an ASC and medical office building on the hospital's campus, according to an Oct. 26 report from the Durango Herald. -

Nashville, Tenn.-based Ascension Saint Thomas is opening an ASC in partnership with United Surgical Partners International and Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance, the Rutherford County Source reported Oct. 26. -
