  • Intermountain to open new Utah ASC

    Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health is opening a new medical campus with an ASC in Saratoga Springs, Utah.
  • ASC, medical office building break ground in Texas

    Ground has been broken on a three-story medical office building and ASC project in Katy, Texas, according to a Nov. 4 report from the Katy Times.
  • 15 new ASCs in October

    Here are 15 new ASCs opened or announced that Becker's reported on in October. 
  • California medical office building approved despite opposition

    The Los Angeles city council has approved a medical office building proposal from hospital operator CHA Health Systems to build a 96,000-square-foot facility that will be leased by Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, according to a Nov. 2 report from Urbanize Los Angeles. 
  • Kansas medical center files zoning request to bar local hospital from building ASC

    Emporia, Kan.-based Newman Regional Health has filed a request to change the zoning code with the area planning commission in an effort to prevent Topeka, Kan.-based Stormont-Vail Hospital from building an ASC, according to an Oct. 31 report from KVOE.

  • Cincinnati Children's breaks ground on outpatient surgery center

    Cincinnati Children's began construction on a two-story medical building in Eastgate, Ohio, according to an Oct. 27 report by ABC affiliate WCPO.
  • New ASC, medical building proposed in New Jersey

    Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare has proposed to build a medical office building with an ASC in Stafford Township, N.J., app.com reported Oct. 30.
  • Orthopedic and Spine Centers of Wisconsin to open ASC in 2024

    Madison-based Orthopedic and Spine Centers of Wisconsin plans to open a surgery center by November 2024, The Wisconsin State Journal reported Oct. 30.
  • Mercy Hospital breaks ground on Colorado ASC

    Durango, Colo.-based Mercy Hospital has broken ground on an ASC and medical office building on the hospital's campus, according to an Oct. 26 report from the Durango Herald.
  • Orthopedic, pain management ASC to be built in Tennessee

    Nashville, Tenn.-based Ascension Saint Thomas is opening an ASC in partnership with United Surgical Partners International and Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance, the Rutherford County Source reported Oct. 26.
  • Illinois health system breaks ground on cardiovascular institute

    NorthShore-Edward-Elmhurst Health broke ground on a 71,000-square-foot cardiovascular institute in Naperville, Ill., according to an Oct. 19 report by RE Journals.
  • Texas Digestive Disease Consultants, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center break ground on ASC

    Dallas-based Texas Digestive Disease Consultants and Cedar Park (Texas) Regional Medical Center have broken ground on a joint partnership multispecialty ASC, the Pflugerville (Texas) Surgery Center, according to an Oct. 24 report from Community Impact.
  • South Carolina health system breaks ground on $15.3M ASC

    Florence, S.C.-based McLeod Health has broken ground on an ASC on its Carolina Forest campus in Myrtle Beach, ABC affiliate WPDE reported Oct. 24.
  • State planning commission approves Alabama ASC

    Cullman (Ala.) Regional Medical Center has earned approval from the State Health Planning & Development Agency certificate of need review board for the construction of a new ASC at Hartselle (Ala.) Health Park, according to an Oct. 24 report from the Hartselle Enquirer. 
  • Medplex Outpatient Surgery Center earns approval for Alabama ASC

    Hoover, Ala.-based Medplex Outpatient Surgery Center has earned approval from the state's certificate-of-need review board to relocate its existing facility and construct an ASC two miles away, according to an Oct. 20 report from the law firm Bradley Arant Boult Cummings posted on JDSupra.
  • $50M medical office building project breaks ground in Connecticut

    Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare has broken ground on the second phase of a $50 million healthcare hub, which includes redeveloping a one-story commercial building into a 47,000-square-foot medical office building, according to an Oct. 20 report from NEREJ.
